Moscovy Ducks

We have had several duck breeds at our farm, and the Moscovy are just the best for meat production.  They are docile, and quieter than most ducks.  They really don't "quack" a lot at all.  Moscovy are also more self sufficient than other breeds.  They can fly, and more aggressively defend themselves when compared to other breeds.  They free range on our farm, and we don't worry about predators (the dogs help with that too though).  But our Anatolian guard dogs are not directly in with the ducks and the ducks still stay safe.  But really, let's talk about meat.  Duck meat is SO delicious, and the size of the duck breasts are amazing on the Moscovy.  If you are going to raise them, they LOVE water so having a pond helps, but if you only have a few ducks, a kiddie pool will do.
